The Kaunertal Glacier is open year-round and operates daily.

• 2026/2027 winter season at the Kaunertal Glacier: September 26, 2026 – May 17, 2027
  (The start and end dates of the season may vary depending on snow conditions.)
• The “Kaunertal Glacier Road” attraction:/en/kaunertal-scenic-road/all-alpine-vegetation-levels.html is open daily year-round from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
• “Weißsee Glacier Restaurant”:/en/kaunertal-glacier/winter/restaurants-und-alpine-huts.html is open year-round from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. // Hot meals served from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
• Karlesjochbahn operates daily from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
• Wild camping prohibited! In Tyrol, wild camping is permitted only at designated sites. The nearest campgrounds are Alpincamping and Camping Weißseespitze at Kaunertal.

Lift ticket office and toll booth for the Kaunertal Glacier Road:

• 7:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. (daily, including Sundays and holidays)
• A nighttime driving ban is in effect on the Kaunertal Glacier Road from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
  The road is closed outside of these hours (5:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.).
