Opening hours cash desk and Kaunertal Glacier Road
The Kaunertal Glacier is open all year round.
- 2026/2027 winter season on the Kaunertal Glacier from 26 September 2026 to 17 May 2027
(The start and end dates of the season may vary depending on snow conditions.) - The excursion tip Kaunertal Glacier Road is open daily.
- Gletscherrestaurant Weißsee open throughout the year from 08.00 a.m. to 04.30 p.m // hot meals from 10 am to 04 pm
Wild camping is prohibited! In Tyrol, wild camping is permitted only at designated sites. The nearest campgrounds are in Feichten and Platz in the Kaunertal.
Cash desk/toll station of the Kaunertal Glacier Road:
- 07.00 – 17.00 (daily)
- There is a Night driving ban on the Kaunertal Glacier Road from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
The road is closed outside of opening hours (5:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.).
