Would you like to start your trip right away? The Kaunertal Glacier is open for you every day in summer. The Fendels cable cars take you to the Fendels summer mountain every day in the main season and from Thursday to Sunday in the lower season. You can find the current opening hours here:

Hiking on the Kaunertal Glacier in summer

Panoramic drive up the glacier

To get to know the Kaunertal Glacier in all its facets in summer, a ride on the Kaunertal Scenic Road is a must. On the way to the glacier centre at 2,750 m, you pass all 6 alpine altitude levels – the route is an experience especially for motorcyclists. Would you rather explore the glacier while hiking? Many walking trails start directly at the road.

Fendels Summer Mountain:
Adventure paradise for families

A trip on holiday to the Summermountain Fendels means fun and action for the whole family. Adventurous visitors will find numerous hiking routes, a mountain cart track, various themed trails and an exciting children’s programme. Trail bike fans also get their money’s worth: the Wildbachtrail takes you down to Ried in the valley at high speed.
