Training at the Kaunertal Glacier

Our training slopes are located at an altitude of between 2,750 and 3,113 metres and offer ideal snow conditions for your race training. You can comfortably drive to the parking area at 2,750 m with any vehicle, without the hassle of transporting equipment. Your equipment (poles, drills, batteries, test skis, etc.) will always be ready to hand in your vehicle next to the pists.

Various training areas are available on the Kaunertal Glacier, depending on the snow conditions:

• Nörderjochlift
• Weißseeferner (Falginjochbahn 3,113 m)
• Fernerlift
• Karlesjoch

For the allocation of the slopes we need your slope reservation by e-mail to piste@tirolgletscher.com with the following information:

• Date and start of training
• Desired slope
• Type of training
• Group size
• Name and contact details of the instructor

Our staff will allocate the training slopes after receiving your booking. A daily trainer briefing at 11.00 am is obligatory. Booking the slopes is free of charge.

The Kaunertal offers plenty of guest beds in all categories – from flats to 4-star spa hotels. Many accommodations are specially designed for ski teams and training groups and offer space for the storage and maintenance of your training equipment. Our tourist office will be happy to help you choose the right accommodation.
